FARGO — A Fargo man is in the hospital after he lost control of his car on Interstate 94 and slid into another vehicle about 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, according to a report by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Joseph Alameda, 24, was merging his 2007 Pontiac G6 onto I-94 from 45th Street South when he slid into a 2012 Subaru Outback driven by Maggie Stickney, the patrol said, noting that Alameda was driving too fast for the conditions.
Alameda was taken to Sanford Medical Center for his injuries and was cited for care required, the patrol said. Stickney, 21, of Dilworth, and her 3-year-old passenger were uninjured.
The road was snow-covered and slippery at the time of the crash. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and the 3-year-old was in a car seat, the patrol said.
