FARGO — Windy conditions caused a billboard along Interstate 29 to twist and fall over sideways on Thursday morning, March 14.
Observers noticed the billboard about 10 a.m., and a 45 mph gust of wind was recorded at that time, according to WDAY meteorologist Summer Schnellbach. Winds have increased, gusting up to 53 mph as of 1 p.m.
Some wiring appears to be exposed, but the billboard does not look to be threatening any nearby structures.
The billboard is on the east side of I-29 near exit 64 for 13th Avenue South in Fargo.
