Hillsboro, N.D., trooper named Peace Officer of the Year
BISMARCK — North Dakota Highway Patrol Trooper Kyle Stern received the 2018 Peace Officer of the Year award, given out annually by the North Dakota Peace Officers Association, according to a patrol news release.
Stern has been with the patrol since 2002 and is stationed in Hillsboro.
He was named Trooper of the Year in 2010 by the North Dakota Motor Carriers Association. The Safe Communities Coalition of the Red River Valley lauded him in 2011 for his efforts in enforcing child passenger safety laws.
