Woman, 27, shot in the back in Mandan
MANDAN, N.D. -- Mandan police are investigating the non-fatal shooting of a 27-year-old woman, who was shot in the back Sunday, Dec.30.
Officers provided medical assistance until paramedics arrived. She was taken to a Bismarck hospital with no life-threatening injuries.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested and taken to Youth Correctional Center in Mandan. The investigation is ongoing.
Police reported the shooting may be related to two other incidents Sunday. At about 8:40 p.m., officers were dispatched for a report of females yelling obscenities. A short time later, officers received another report of two males possibly shooting a gun in the area.
While en route, officers were stopped by two people who told them about the woman being shot.
Mandan police would not provide any additional information at this time, said Lt. Pat Haug, citing an active investigation.
