Suspect in early morning stabbing sought by Fargo police
FARGO — Police here are looking for a 20-year-old man suspected of stabbing someone in the chest.
At 4:06 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 4300 block of Calico Drive South, near Anderson Park southwest of the interchange of Interstates 29 and 94. A few minutes later, authorities received a report of a stabbing at the same location, Fargo police said in a news release.
The victim, who had been stabbed in the chest, was taken to a local hospital. The victim, whose identity was not released, is said to be in stable condition, according to police.
The stabbing suspect is Penja Sokili Lawuya, a 20-year-old with no permanent address, police said. Lawuya is 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He drives a dark blue 2008 BMW 528, with North Dakota plates 207CJN.
