FARGO — A 26-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly attacking a woman with a glass, cutting her neck.

At 3:27 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, Fargo police responded to the 900 block of Sixth Avenue North for a report of an assault that left a woman bleeding from the neck, according to a Fargo Police Department Facebook post.

The suspect had fled the scene before officers arrived, but an investigation revealed that a male acquaintance, later identified as Dominic Antonio Pierce, struck the victim with a glass, police said.

An initial search for Pierce was unsuccessful, despite help from the North Dakota State University Police Department and Cass County Sheriff's Office, and an attempted track by a West Fargo police dog.

Pierce, who has no permanent address, was later located and arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault. He had not been charged as of Monday afternoon, Aug. 26.
