FARGO — Nine businesses in Cass County, including two in Fargo, were cited this month for selling alcohol to minors, county officials said Wednesday, Nov. 27.

Steve’s Packaging Store at 524 Fourth St. N. and Taligators Sports Cafe at 1322 Main Ave. failed the alcohol compliance checks on Nov. 18, according to a news release. They were among a dozen businesses in the city that Fargo Cass Public Health and law enforcement checked to make sure establishments were not selling alcohol to anyone under the age of 21.

Fargo had an 83% compliance rate during the checks, but almost half of the 16 Cass County establishments that were checked on Nov. 14 failed, the release said. That list included:

  • City View Fuel, 13635 54th St. SE, Enderlin.

  • Club 94, 15568 37th St. SE, Casselton.

  • Governor’s Pub, 2050 Governor’s Drive, Casselton.

  • Kindred Spirits Bar and Grill, 441 Elm Street, Kindred.

  • Red Baron Lounge and Pizza Pub, 626 Front St., Casselton.

  • The Ringneck Bar and Grill, 404 Railroad Ave. S., Leonard.

  • Veteran’s Club, 814 Front St., Casselton.

The $500 penalty for the Fargo businesses could be waived if the person who served the minor alcohol, as well as management, has a server training certificate. Any employee or manager who does not have a certificate must complete training within 30 days of the citation.

A liquor license can be suspended for at least a day after the third offense, the release said. A seventh offense would result in revocation of the license.
