WEST FARGO — West Fargo Public Schools unveiled a new logo last week, a sleeker take on its traditional torch design that has been updated to include the school colors of all three high schools within the district.
According to Heather Leas, public relations coordinator at WFPS, the district commissioned the services of CI Sport to design the new logo for $500.
“This newest iteration was commissioned because of the recent addition of a third feeder system to our district – Heritage MS and Horace HS,” Leas said in an email.
WFPS’s previous logo included one color from each of its existing high schools (green for West Fargo High and orange for Sheyenne). The new logo incorporates all three high schools with a color from each comprising the flame component, with green representing West Fargo High, blue representing Sheyenne, and gold representing Horace.
The new logo is the third iteration of the district’s torch design. Leas said she has been involved with the past two design changes. During the design process for those updates, the district had artists incorporate a “W” into the torch base to emphasize the “West” in West Fargo.
Leas said the new district logo will be utilized in all marketing, branding and promotional efforts.
