The West Fargo School District has not been made aware of any confirmed cases of COVID-19 among students or staff.
After the North Dakota Department of Health reported a positive test for the virus was found in Cass County, speculations of where in the county that case might be began to swirl around the school district.
Late Tuesday, March 17, District Spokeswoman Heather Leas released a statement from the school district after the state Health Department informed district officials they would be notified directly if a case of COVID-19 affecting staff or students was found.
"At this time, we have not received any notifications from the North Dakota Department of Health or our employees that would indicate that we have a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the district," Leas said in the statement.
