Authorities are asking for the public’s help in investigating a short-lived fire at a house in West Fargo Thursday night, Oct. 31.

At 7:42 p.m. West Fargo police and firefighters responded to a report of a house fire in the 700 block of 10th Avenue West. Residents of the home were able to put out the fire before emergency crews arrived.

Officials said the fire caused about $3,000 in damage to the building.

West Fargo police are looking for videos or pictures of a male wearing all black and vehicles that were in the area around the time the fire was reported.

Anyone with house or doorbell cameras or any footage from either side of Eighth Street West from 13th Avenue West to Main Avenue West is asked to call police at 701-433-5500.
