BISMARCK - Gov. Doug Burgum invited the public to tour part of the new governor's residence on Tuesday, Oct. 16.
The residence is located on the southwest corner of the Capitol grounds in Bismarck. Staff will provide tours of its formal space on the east side of the building facing the Capitol mall, along with the informal "multipurpose room" and kitchen on the west side of the structure.
Tours will run from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. They'll begin every 15 minutes and last about 15 minutes, the governor's office said in a news release.
The new residence was built next door to the old one, which was demolished in May after about six decades in use. State lawmakers first approved the $5 million project in 2015 and required that $1 million come from private donations.
