FARGO — Metro leaders held a press conference to voice support for and further explain Gov. Doug Burgum's executive order closing North Dakota bars, restaurants, breweries and cafes at 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 20, at the Fargo City Hall Commission Chambers.
Speakers included Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney, West Fargo Commission President Bernie Dardis, Cass County Commission Chair Chad Peterson, Horace Mayor Kory Peterson, Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Chamber of Commerce Chair Tom Dawson and Fargo–Moorhead–West Fargo restaurant owner Randy Thorson.
The mass closure of on-sale and on-site functions goes into effect at noon Friday and will continue through Monday, April 6. The closure excludes takeout, delivery, curbside, drive-thru and off-sale services.
