Athlete Spotlight: Sterling Morin and Brayden Jacobson

Sterling Morin

Through the first eight games of West Fargo Sheyenne's first boys hockey season, Morin's 14 goals tied him for first among all players in North Dakota. He ranked fifth in the state in scoring with 19 points coming from 14 goals and five assists. Morin then scored three goals in Sheyenne's 5-4 win over Little Falls (Minn.) on Wednesday, Dec. 27. The senior forward earlier totaled four goals and two assists in an 8-5 win over West Fargo on Dec. 19 at the West Fargo Sports Arena.


Brayden Jacobson

After West Fargo's first nine games of the season, Jacobson leads the West Fargo boys hockey team with nine points coming from six goals and three assists. The freshman forward scored a goal in the Packers' 2-0 win over Detroit Lakes on Dec. 27. He scored five goals in the five games before that win.
