Week In history: June 13, 2018
West Fargo voters were in an agreeable mood when they went to the polls in early June of 1973. They approved publishing of school board meeting minutes. They OK'd radios for school busses in time for F.C.C. approval and installation in the busses before winter. An advisory vote on pursuing the construction of an indoor/outdoor swimming pool also received a solid majority of the votes.
The weekend of June 14 and 15, 2003 was a festive time for congregation and friends of Maple Sheyenne Church. The church, founded February 5, 1878 at the confluence of the Maple and Sheyenne Rivers north of West Fargo, was celebrating their 125th anniversary. Members past and present, pastors past and present, and the ELCA Bishop were in attendance.
