Police: Man arrested after shoplifting, running from officers
FARGO — One man is facing charges after West Fargo police said he ran from them multiple times only to be arrested later by Fargo police.
Authorities said employees at Scheels called in a man stealing from their store around 6:30 p.m. Monday night, Oct. 22.
West Fargo police tracked down the suspected thief on two separate occasions, but he managed to get away.
Fargo police caught up with him at the Casey's General Store on South University and 27th Avenue around 8:15 p.m.
Police searched the suspect's vehicle and found a small amount of meth and marijuana.
At this point, police said he'll be charged with drug possession, reckless driving and fleeing police.
Charges stemming from the alleged shoplifting incident are still being reviewed.
Scheels employees are not sure how much or what was stolen but are working to figure that out at this time.
Authorities have not released the man's name at this time, but say he is in his 20s.
Two passengers that were in the car were questioned and released.
