Herring's last-second goal lifts United girls hockey over Minot
MINOT, N.D. — Kaycee Herring scored the go-ahead goal with one second remaining in the game to lead West Fargo United to a 2-1 victory against Minot on Saturday in North Dakota girls hockey.
All three of the game's goals were scored in the final five minutes of the third period. Madison Schoenberg scored for United at the 12 minutes, 4 seconds mark of the third. Kaya Shaw scored the equalizer for Minot at the 16:03 mark, prior to Herring's game-winner 56 seconds later.
United improved to 12-10 overall, while Minot fell to 8-13.
