Weeks after her record-setting redshirt freshman season wrapped, Akealy Moton is still collecting awards.

The 2017 West Fargo grad and current track and field All-American at North Dakota State was named Summit League Field Athlete of the Year on June 19.

Moton, a six-time state champions with the Packers, earned the designation following a season where she set the Bison program record in the shot put (56 feet, 10.25 inches). She was a conference champion in shot, while also placing fifth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Moton was also runner-up in the javelin at the Summit League Championships. She was named an honorable mention All-American following a 20th-place finish at the event at Nationals.
