MOORHEAD, Minn — The West Fargo Patriots American Legion baseball team trailed throughout most of Thursday night's game until a three-run eighth inning lifted them to a 4-2 victory at Matson Field.

Carter Dodd started on the mound for West Fargo and threw for four innings, striking out five.

Alex Urlaub and Drew Clouse each had a hit while Quade Peters drove in one of the four runs on the night to lead the Patriots at the plate.

Isaac Henkemeyer-Howe had a two-run double to pace Moorhead (0-2).

West Fargo (2-0) will host the Grand Forks Royals at 5:30 p.m. Monday for a doubleheader.
