West Fargo, ND - West Fargo's Matt Strahm has burst onto the scene this year with the Kansas City Royals.

He's 2-1 with an ERA of 1 in 18 innings, racking up 24 strikeouts.

He's impressed the Royals enough in his rookie season that they could give him a chance to start in 2017.

His family has been behind him the whole way, from his days pitching for the West Fargo Packers to when his dreams of pitching nearly ended after Tommy John surgery in 2013.

Dom Izzo tells us how they helped Matt achieve his big league dreams.
