Three area hockey players earned high honors last week, when they were named First Team All-State selections following standout seasons on the ice.
Making it for the West Fargo High School boys team was sophomore Brayden Jacobson, who finished the year with 29 goals and 15 assists for the Packers. Jacobson was tied for fourth in the state in goals, while his 44 points were the 11th-best mark in North Dakota.
On the girls end, West Fargo United seniors Madison Hjelden and Brooklyn Myrvik each earned First-Team honors.
Hjelden's 27 goals were the third most in the state, while her 40 points were tied for fifth. Myrvik finished with a 93.1 save percentage, the fourth best total among goalies who started at least 10 games.
