WEST FARGO, N.D. -Take one look at Sheyenne senior Olivia Dobrinz and you can tell she was born to play volleyball.
WEST FARGO - West Fargo Sheyenne's football team is no longer the new kids on the block. The Mustangs have reached the state tournament the last three years, but have been knocked off in the first round each of the last two seasons. Jeremy Newton is hoping this is the year for the breakthrough. Sheyenne will need to replace the top running back in the EDC last season, Jason Gaulrapp, but believe they have options to make them dangerous on offense. Sheyenne returns 12 starters in 2018, the Mustangs open the season August 24th at Century.
COLFAX, ND - The 2018 football season is here for the Richland Colts and they're ready to talk about football. It's been an eventful last eight months for the school, after several investigations rocked the district where male students where charged with sexual misconduct against other male students. The Colts have changed their leadership, Zach Riopelle has taken over as the head coach, he was an assistant with the staff last year. Richland opens the season August 17th at home against South Border.
FARGO - The Fargo 12 year old Little League team will make history this weekend as they'll play in the Midwest Regional, just a round away from Williamsport and the World Series. WDAY was the first to introduce you to this team last week. The team is led by brothers who have opponents seeing double. Jordan and Adam Leininger have been a big part of the team's run. Jordan leads the team with 21 home runs, while his brother Adam isn't far behind with 17.
WEST FARGO - Kemal Hajric is the type of player coaches loves. A player that works hard and never stops trying. Hajric is the son of Bosnian immigrants, who moved to the United States for a better life for their son. Hajric is showing how his hard work can help him on and off the floor.
