FARGO — Two Salvation Army kettles in Fargo each received an anonymous donation of a 1-ounce gold coin. Last week one coin was donated to the Hornbacher's Express kettle and another on Saturday at the south Fargo Cashwise. A 1-ounce gold coin can be worth up to $1,200.
BARNESVILLE, Minn. — A couple lost their home Friday, Dec. 14, after it caught fire, according to the Barnesville Fire Department. Crews responded 8 a.m. Friday to a report of a house fire in northeast Barnesville. They arrived to find the garage fully engulfed in flames that had also started to spread to the attic of the home. It took about one hour for firefighters to extinguish the blaze.
WEST FARGO — A West Fargo man came forward to claim a $25,000-a-year-for-life lottery prize after hitting the winning numbers last week, North Dakota Lottery officials announced Thursday, Dec. 13. He picked his own numbers to win the Lucky for Life prize. He has chosen to remain anonymous. He bought the winning ticket at Casey's General Store, 204 42nd St. S. in Fargo, on Thursday, Dec. 6. He could have chosen a one-time payment of $390,000.
FARGO - One man is in the hospital and a woman is in custody after a stabbing incident on Sunday, Oct. 14th.
FARGO— One man is dead after a shooting in Fargo early Sunday morning. Police say that at 5:23 a.m. a man was sitting outside the McDonald’s on Main Avenue when a car pulled up and the driver shot at and hit the victim multiple times. The victim got up and ran about 100 feet before collapsing.
FARGO - Police have released the identity of the man who was found dead with gunshot wounds on Friday, Sept. 21. Police have confirmed that the dead male they found was 60-year-old Kevin Riley Sr. of Fargo.
FARGO -- A West Fargo man is dead and two people are in custody after an incident at a Fargo hotel early Saturday morning. According to the Fargo Police Department, they were called out to the AmericInn Hotel, 4325 23rd Ave. S., at 2:33 a.m. for a disturbance.
ANDOVER, SD -- A West Fargo man has created has showed off a HP Case locomotive at the James Valley Threshing Show. The tractor was re-created by Kory Anderson of West Fargo. The 150 HP Case is the first of it's kind in 113 years and is the only one in the world today, according to the James Valley Threshing Show website. WEST FARGO -- Some roads in West Fargo are being closed off as crews respond to reports of a gas main issue on Friday, August 31st. West Fargo officials say that at 12:08 p.m. they closed off 13th Ave. E. was closed from 12th St. E. to 17th St. E. They say you should avoid that street and the surrounding area until further notice.
FORMAN, ND -- Sargent County's biggest case in the last few months is finally solved. A 6 to 7 foot python was reported missing over a week ago in Foreman. Since then, hundreds of people have gotten in touch with the sheriff to try and track down the elusive animal. The snake's owner found it on Saturday, August 4th on top of a cabinet in her home. Throughout this whole ordeal, Sargent County officials learned there is an ordiance prohibiting people from keeping pythons as animals.
