The West Fargo Education Association and West Fargo School District’s negotiation teams methodically whittled away on its agenda items on June 29, reaching tentative agreements on two items. With both teams exercising a great deal of caution to make sure wording and terminology is carefully chosen, progress has been slow, but the mood has been conducive to successful collaborative bargaining. Salary proposals have not been brought to the table at this point.
Officials of the West Fargo Police Department are reminding residents to lock their car doors and garages after a recent rash of burglaries that have resulted in several items stolen.
Assistant Police Chief Mike Reitan said the thefts appear to be happening almost exclusively in the Charleswood area, more specifically on Kingston Place, Princeton Lane, Edgewater and 11th Avenue East, as well as one outside of Charleswood on Huntington Drive.

Kent Campbell has been hired as the new executive director of the West Fargo Area Chamber of Commerce officially assuming duties Monday, June 29.
Campbell graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead with a B.A. degree in Political Science and Communications; has earned a degree with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organizational Management at Notre Dame University, South Bend, Indiana; and has received several other certificates and honors in nonprofit management.
A marketing brochure being distributed by the West Fargo Public Schools has been designated as a merit award winner in a publications and electronic media competition held earlier this month by the National School Public Relations Association.
