Annual Silver Dollar Bike Run rallies hogs for good cause
The Fargo-Moorhead area Ronald McDonald house got some much-appreciated support thanks to a bunch of hogs.
The 12th Annual Silver Dollar Ronald McDonald Bike Run kicked off Saturday afternoon, drawing quite a turnout. "We probably had over 200 people and 180 motorcycles," Silver Dollar Bar & Chopper Grill proprietor Kurt Lepird said.
The motorcycles took off at noon and traveled to Mapleton, Horace and several other area cities before returning for supper at the Silver Dollar, located at 221 Sheyenne Street, West Fargo. Volunteers from the Ronald McDonald house helped serve food.
Lepird said the rally raised more than $4,000 dollars for the organization, which finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.
