Sanders, Democratic stars make pitch for Clinton after messy first day

Arbot Day ceremony at Maplewood Park

The annual Arbor Day observance will take place Thursday, May 16 at 1:30 p.m. at Maplewood Park located in the 1200 block of 17th Avenue East. This year's honoree is longtime West Fargo resident Larry Lubben who will have an Oak Tree planted on his behalf.

Brandy Sellden's sixth-grade class from Cheney Middle School will be helping with the planting. Lubben's granddaughter Olivia is a member of the class.

The Tree City USA will also be presented by Sharon Bartels of the North Dakota Forest Service.

Refreshments will be provided by the West Fargo Urban Forestry Committee.

The event is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.

In case of rain, the ceremony will take place in the Cheney Middle School Library, 825 17th Ave. E.
