Braun Intertec, a premier engineering, consulting and testing firm, announces that Ezra Ballinger, E.I., has joined the company's West Fargo office as a staff engineer.
Ballinger will be involved with construction materials testing and geotechnical engineering design projects. He will also be working on the geotechnical evaluation for the design of North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) highways that are being upgraded to support the state's expanding energy markets because of the amount of traffic being generated to support the expansion. He plans to take his professional engineering exam in April.
Ballinger has three years of geotechnical engineering experience, working previously in the Denver area on forensic engineering projects. Some of his previous work included the analysis of soils at a crane collapse site, inspections and repair recommendations for foundations distressed by swelling soils, observations and analysis of surface distress to concrete and asphalt, and geotechnical design of dams around small ponds in residential developments.
