Benefit planned for Tommeraus family
A special benefit event is being planned for Peggy and Dewey Tommeraus who have lived in Kindred for more than 20 years along with their children; Joshua, Zachary. Justin, and Joey.
Peggy was diagnosed with Bronchiolitis Obliterans with Organizing Pneumonia (BOOP) five years ago at the age of 50 forcing her to retire from the postal service. She is in need of a double-lung transplant that will require a lifetime of treatments and medications including several trips to the Mayo Clinic. Proceeds from the benefit will help defray medical expenses related to her treatment.
The silent and live auction, raffle, bake sale and spaghetti meal will take place from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Doublewood Inn, 3333 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
Those unable to attend but who still like to contribute can do so by making an online donation at dakmed.org/lendahand or with a cash or check gift made payable to the Peggy Tommeraus Benefit Fund, Bell State Bank, 3100 13th Ave. S., Fargo, N.D. 58103 or dropping them off at any Bell State location.
Lend A Hand, a program of DMF, is providing up to $5,000 in matching funds.
