Wounded Warriors is a nationally recognized organization devoted to helping maimed veterans recover and lead active, meaningful lives.

The Comics for Courage Laff-A-Thon is known as the 10k of Comedy. The event is set up like a 10k road race except "Laffers" register instead of runners. Participants register for the event and collect donations from friends, family and co-workers towards the Wounded Warrior Project. Laffers who collect $100 receive free admission to the event.

Performers for the event include Jamestown native Christopher Cannon from Comedy Central and Improv Comedy from the Linebenders.

A veteran of the military, Cannon is a 1980 graduate of Jamestown and has been a professional comedian for the past 20 years. He has devoted himself to Comics for Courage and Veterans issues full-time.

Admission to the event is $10. Tickets will be available at the door or can be purchased online at www.comicsforcourage.org
