Cruise on over to Sheyenne Street for Thursday night main event
If you love old cars or are simply looking for an evening of socializing, fun and excitement, head on over to Sheyenne Street Thursday night for what is becoming one of the most popular summer attractions you'll find anywhere - West Fargo Cruise Night set for Thursday, July 21, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Organizers are hoping to pull off a repeat of the first highly successful cruise night held in June that saw over 3,000 spectators turning out to take in the sights of the 350 classic vehicles on display, as well as enjoy the variety of vendors who were kept busy all night serving up hot dogs, gyros, turkey legs, ice cream, pork sandwiches, you name it.
The event, sponsored by the City of West Fargo, assisted by members of the Fargo Moorhead Toppers Car Club, is open to any car enthusiast wishing to display their vehicle, motorcycle, or other classic beauty; and any spectator wishing to take it all in.
Registration is free in the tent in front of the West Fargo VFW with a variety of prizes donated by local businesses awarded to participants throughout the evening.
There is also no admission charge. Spectators are able to casually saunter Sheyenne Street at their leisure and view the gamut of displays that run from Main Avenue to at least Seventh Avenue, depending upon the participation.
A variety of food vendors will be set up for the convenience of those attending.
Two more remaining Cruise Nights are also part of the ongoing schedule, Thursday, Aug. 18 and Thursday, Sept. 15, as a precursor to West Fest.
Indications at this point are that the weather is going to cooperate with a little bit cooler temperatures forecast.
A perfect reason to pay a visit to Sheyenne Street and spend a few hours taking in all the evening has to offer.
If you are a first-timer to the event, you'll be glad you did.
