Denis joins WF police force
Ryan Denis has joined the West Fargo Police Department as a patrol officer, officially coming on board in late April.
A native of Argusville and a 1998 graduate of West Fargo High School, Denis went on to attend pre-law enforcement at North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton and earned his degree in criminal justice from Minnesota State University Moorhead in 2003, before completing ten weeks of Police Basic Training at Alexandria Technical College. For the last three and a half years he has been employed at the Cass County Jail.
Denis is presently involved with field officer training with the West Fargo Police Department. At the conclusion of this training in July he will be assuming full-time patrol officer duties.
So far he is "absolutely enjoying" his association. "They are an excellent group of people," Denis said about fellow members of the Department. "Everyone is going out of their way to help out and make me feel at home."
He also likes the idea of being back in the West Fargo community. "I always wanted to stay in this area. I know a lot of people, and the City is not so big that you feel overwhelmed."
In his time away from work, Denis enjoys hunting and fishing; and spending time with his family, parents Chris and Mary Denis, who reside in Argusville; and his sister and brother-in-law, who live in Alexandria, Minn.
