GSBC is an intensive 25-month banking school providing senior management and leadership education for community banking professionals. The school is held each summer on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder. Each student has been recognized as a rising star within their organization. Completing this educational experience is a significant accomplishment in the banking and financial services industry.

Students receive a diploma upon successfully completing six weeks of classroom training focusing on the areas of General Management, Lending, Leadership and Human Resource Management, and Financial Management. Requirements also include comprehensive examinations, intersession research projects, and participation in a bank management simulation course designed to provide the banker/student with experience in managing a bank.

The 62nd Annual School Session was held July 15-27. Doeden was among nearly 120 graduates from across the country recognized in a ceremony at Folsom Field on July 26.

Doeden joined Alerus in 2004 and serves as president of Alerus Mortgage in the Red River Valley. He has more than 15 years of experience in the banking industry and is active with the Fargo-Moorhead Association of Realtors and the Home Builders Association. Doeden attended the University of Wyoming where he received a business administration degree with minors in finance and accounting.
