In his last high school cross-country meet, Aswege led the Packers' boys team with a time of 16:45.08, finishing 15th out of 157 runners.

"Nathan was determined to run his best race at state as a senior," head coach Joe Bailey said. "He went out strong and had a great finish. He has worked very hard and improved steadily over his four years (on the team)."

Dufner led the girls' team with a time of 15:27.26, which was good enough for 13th out of 156 competitors.

"Jen ran very aggressively at the state meet," Bailey said. "She is only an eighth-grader and will get even better as she gets stronger."

Aswege and Dufner also joined teammates Darin Baltezore, Austin Albrecht, Parker Rosenau, Christine Baltezore, Brooke Grooters and Katelyn Ask on the All-Eastern Dakota Conference team.
