Early polling sites to open; winter gear drive successful

An important reminder for Cass County voters unable to go to the polls Election Day Nov. 6.

Early polling sites will open next week providing you the opportunity to vote early. The two locations in Fargo, the Doublewood Inn, 3333 13th Ave. S., and the Hilton Garden Inn, 4351 17th Ave. S., will be accessible Oct. 29 through Nov. 2, and the Days Inn, 2050 Governor's Drive, in Casselton, Oct. 31 through Nov. 2. Voting times at each polling site will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

An update has also been issued on the outcome of the recent Salvation Army promoted Coats for Kids and Family campaign that resulted in more winter gear than ever provided to over 400 households during the five-day distribution. Over 1,500 people were ultimately served through the approximate 5,000 winter items given away.

Kudos to organizers and highly generous community contributors -- through your involvement and caring many children now have the necessary items to help them stay warm this winter.
