FM Derby Girls slated to face Sioux Falls
After a flawless 3-0 start to their season, the Fargo Moorhead Derby Girls are kicking things up a notch.
On Saturday, March 6, the Sioux Falls Roller Dollz are sending their "B" team, or Killa Beez, to Fargo for a bout. The Roller Dollz are part of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association, which holds some of the nation's top competitors. With a good showing against Sioux Falls, the FM Derby Girls will prove they can compete against top U.S. talent.
Fargo Civic Center doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a preshow featuring some FM Derby Girls up-and-comers: Mean vs. Green. The main bout kicks off at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for kids 6-12 years old. Children under 5 get in free. Tickets can be purchased at the door, but the last several Derby Girls events have sold out in advance. To purchase tickets ahead of time, visit the Civic Center box office, any Ticket Master outlet, or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
The FM Derby Girls are a nonprofit team, and proceeds from the event will benefit the Dorothy Day Food Pantry.
