The boys team finished second of nine teams with a score of 127 points, just 3.5 points behind Grand Forks Red River.

The girls finished first in three events. Junior Izzy Waite took home the top spot in the high jump with a 4-foot-11-inch jump. She also finished second in the 55-meter hurdles, just 0.03 seconds behind Fargo North’s Madison Uglem.

Sophomore Keely Walker won the girls shot put with a throw of 35 feet, 8 inches.

The girls also got a first-place finish from Mattyson Barta, Madison Urlaub, Maddie Flom and Ally Schwank in the 4x400 meter relay.

The boys ended the day with four first-place finishes, thanks largely to senior Daniel Asa. He finsished the 55-meter hurdles in 8.2 seconds, and topped all competitors in the long jump, jumping 20 feet, 3 1/2 inches. He was also a part of the 4x400 relay team — along with Ross Pergande, Logan Ridder and Kody Coles — which finished first with a 3:49.38 time.

The other first-place finish came from sophomore Alex Talley in the shot put with a 48, 1 inch throw.
