Golf takes seventh at the Meadows
The Packers had a rough outing, but saw some positive things on Friday at the Meadows Golf Course in Moorhead.
The team finished in seventh place out of the ten teams participating, earning a team score of 389.
Leading the Packers was senior Ashley Bixby, who ended with a score of 80, the third-lowest score of the 56 golfers in attendance.
Through the first five tournaments of the season, Bixby has an average score of 80.8, the fourth-best in the Eastern Dakota Conference.
Junior Sierra Peterson followed Bixby with a 98, her best score of the season so far.
Junior Kennedi Kraft and senior Brittany Rheault rounded out the team’s top four with scores of 105 and 106, respectively.
The Packers are playing at Rose Creek Golf Course in Fargo today at 9 a.m. They will head to King’s wal course next Wednesday for the Grand Forks Red River Invitational.
