Hanson recipient of Golden Apple Award
The North Dakota Association of Elementary School Principals awarded Betty Hanson the Golden Apple Award at their recent banquet held at the NDAESP Mid-Winter Conference in Dickinson, ND. Unfortunately Hanson was unable to attend.
Before the N.D. National Distinguished Principals award was created, the Golden Apple Award was the highest honor given by the N.D. Association of Elementary School Principals. This award was created to honor individuals who had served the association and profession through their involvement in (or service to) the association, their colleagues in education and through their efforts improved the lives of children in a meaningful way. This award is given for meritorious service to the North Dakota Association of Elementary principals, to other principals, students and staff over an extended period of time. The person may or may not be a member of NDAESP, but must represent the ideals and goals of our association.
