To say fan and driver interest is high for tonight's appearance of Tony Stewart at the Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo may be the understatement of the century.

So many drivers want to test their mettle against one of NASCAR's top stars that RRVS officials were forced to spread the classes across two nights.

Now, Late Models, Modified and Midwest Modified will be tonight, while Super Stock, Street Stock and Legends are moving to tomorrow. Stewart will be racing a Late Model car.

Because of the change, race officials also have increased purses for the top three finishers in tomorrow's races. The Super Stock payouts will be $600 for first place, $500 for second and $400 for third. Street Stock purses are $350 for first, $275 for second and $220 for third.

Tonight's payouts for Late Model are $2,000 for first place, $1,000 for second and $750 for third.

Gate admission has been reduced to just $5 for Thursday night's races, and the start has been bumped up by a half hour, so heats will begin at 7 p.m.
