The West Fargo boys hockey team started Friday night's game against the Fargo North Spartans as well as one could hope, scoring two goals in the first 90 seconds.

However, the Spartans came roaring back, notching a 5-2 victory over the Packers.

The Packers' goals came from junior forward Tyler Berginski - who scored in the first 20 seconds of the game with assists coming from Blake Nelson and Derrick LaCoe - and senior forward Tyler Crouse, who scored 57 seconds later with assists going to Nelson and Wyatt Fretheim.

Junior goalie Bailey Vareberg had 29 saves for the Packers.

The Packers (1-2-0) will host the Grand Forks-Red River Roughriders on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m.
