Joyce (Wieser) Bladow, 62, West Fargo, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009 in her home surrounded by her family and under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Joyce Wieser was born on Sept. 28, 1947 in Breckenridge, Minn. to Joseph and Evelyn (Eichhorn) Wieser. She was baptized and confirmed from St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Fairmount, N.D. Joyce grew up on the family farm in rural Fairmount and graduated from high school in Hankinson, N.D. Joyce worked for many years at various jobs in Fargo, until she was forced to retire in June of 2009, because of her struggle with cancer.
Joyce loved to attend all of her grandchildren's school activities, family gatherings, bird watching and tending to her various gardens. She was especially proud of taking care of her lawn.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Evelyn.
She is survived by two daughters, Wanda (Joseph) Miller and Natalie Bladow all of West Fargo; three grandchildren, Jesse, Tarra and Tabitha Miller all of West Fargo; two sisters, Joanne (Herb) Prochnow, Fairmount, N.D. and Joan (Tom Greene) Walz, West Fargo; two brothers, Lloyd (Judy) Wieser, Austin, Texas, Vance (Kathie) Wieser, Moorhead; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Marvin; stepmother, Louise Wieser, Breckenridge, Minn.; two stepbrothers and two stepsisters.
Visitation and prayer services were held on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, in West Funeral Home, West Fargo.
A memorial service was held on Monday, Nov, 23, 2009 in Blessed Sacrament Church, West Fargo. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery, Fairmount, N.D.
