Karla Johnson benefit set for Feb. 15
A benefit for Karla Johnson, hosted by her friends and family, is set for Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Harwood Community Center to help support Karla and her husband Greg with substantial medical expenses. Karla is the daughter of Jerry and Dorothy Swenson of Gardner, N.D.
On August 7, 2013, Karla was re-diagnosed with Triple negative invasive breast cancer with metastasis to the spine and pelvis. She has started treatment which requires months of Chemotherapy.
Karla is a wife, mother, and grandmother who has worked in the Sanford NICU for 30 years.
The benefit is scheduled from 6-11 p.m. and will be held at the Harwood Community Center, 210 Freedland Drive. Please join us for Food, Silent Auction, Raffle, Games for Kids and Dance from 8-11 p.m. to “Midnight Highway.”
Lend A Hand, a program of DMF, is providing up to $5,000 of matching funds to provide more help for the family.
