A special Kid's Day will be observed in your honor at the Red River Valley Fair on Tuesday, July 13, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Scheduled to appear are Penny & Pals, entertainers from the Heritage Baptist Church, Danno's Karaoke, and more.

Murphy Brothers Exposition is also offering Two for Tuesday carnival wristbands.  Fairgoers purchase one carnival wristband at $30 and they receive one free wristband. They must buy the carnival ride passes on grounds that day. Another option for Two for Tuesday is the 2-for-1 gate admission.  Fairgoers can pick up a voucher at any Stop-N-Go store and bring it to the gates that day to receive the promotion.

"Everyday is Kid's Day at the Fair, but it's a true treat to have a day that is set aside with extra kid friendly activities" said Fair Assistant General Manager Jodi Buresh. "Kids bring life and excitement to the Fair. They are the ones who enjoy coming out here, riding the carnival rides, and playing the games. We should give them a day that's dedicated to them."

New to Kid's Day is the Meet and Greet Real Life Heroes which will take place from 1 to 3 p.m., between the Morton and Degelman Buildings. Scheduled to appear are representatives from the Cass County Sheriff's Department, Cass County Electric Co-op, FM Ambulance, West Fargo Fire Department, and General Equipment & Supplies, Inc. Kids will have the opportunity to meet these heroes, and experience hands-on the vehicles they use in the work force.

The Zerebko Petting Zoo, located on the north side of the Red River Valley Fairgrounds, will be open to the public from noon to 8 p.m. The Garcia Family Circus will be featuring shows at 2:30, 5, and 7:30 p.m. daily north of the Bunny Barn. Don't forget to check out Leonard's Taxidermy in the ACME Building and the John Deere Toy Show located in the Degelman Building. The 140 Hay Bale Maze will be located on the north end of the Fairgrounds, sponsored by Steffes Auctioneers and Red River Hay and Straw. All of these exhibits are free with daily gate admission.

Back by popular demand is the Fargo-Moorhead area's own Penny & Pals, who will take the Scheels Stage at 1:30 p.m. The Heritage Baptist Church group from Montgomery, Ala., will also perform on the Scheels Stage at 12, 3 and 6 p.m. The dinosaur daycare T-shirt contest winners will be announced at 1:30 pm by Penny & Pals. They must be present to win. Free ice cream will be distributed at 1 p.m., courtesy of Cass Clay Creamery; and balloons at 1:30 p.m., both at the Scheels Stage.  Halftime by Sheri Dance Studio will close out the Scheels Stage at 7 p.m.

Danno's Karaoke will be appearing on the Scheels Stage from 4 to 6 p.m.

"We are really excited about having Danno's Karaoke back for Kid's Day," Buresh said. "Dan gives the kids an amazing opportunity to sing with friends and family at the Fair."
