"Fargo-Moorhead's best kept secret," the Lake Agassiz Concert Bank, will present a concert at the West Fargo High School Theater on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 7:30 p.m.
Headlining the program will be tuba soloist Doug Neill playing the "Concerto for Tuba" by James Barnes. Also on the program will be Aaron Copland's seminal work "Fanfare for the Common Man," Frank Tichelli's "Symphony #2," and the rollicking, entertaining "Grand Serenade for an Awful Lot of Winds and Percussion" by P.D.Q. Bach.
The Lake Agassiz Concert Band is comprised of over 60 local band enthusiasts and is under the direction of Dr. John Tesch. Support for the LACB is provided by grants from the Lake Region Arts Council through a Minnesota State Legislative appropriation, and by the cities of Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo through the Lake Agassiz Arts Council.
Admission to the concert is free and the public is invited to attend.
