Lake Agassiz Concert Band and MSUM Wind Ensemble to present joint concert

"Fargo-Moorhead's Best-Kept Secret," The Lake Agassiz Concert Band, will team up with the Minnesota State University Moorhead Wind Ensemble to present a concert of large-scale band works. The performance will take place Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 7:30 p.m., in the West Fargo High School Theater, and will feature over 100 skilled band musicians.

Among the pieces on the program will be "Jug Blues and Fat Pickin'" by Donald Freund, "Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor" by J.S. Bach, and "First Suite in Eb" by Gustav Holst.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The Lake Agassiz Concert Band is comprised of more than 60 area musicians and is under the direction of Dr. John Tesch, director of bands and professor of low brass at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Support for the Lake Agassiz Concert Band is provided by the cities of Fargo and Moorhead through the Lake Agassiz Arts Council and by a grant from the Lake Region Arts Council with funding from the McKnight Foundation.
