Quilt Exhibit

Designing Quilters, a group of local fiber artists, have created a collection of quilts based on book themes that will on display in the library April 14-May 13.


Special Events:

All About Birding: Monday, May 6, 7 p.m. Keith Corliss, an avid bird watcher and volunteer instructor for the North Dakota Game and Fish Department, will present a program on different aspects of birding to start you on a lifelong hobby.

Regular Events:

Tech Session -iPads @ the Library: Monday, May 6, at 6:30 p.m. A hands on class discovering iPads. The Library has 8 iPads that will be available for this session or participants can bring their own. Pre-register at the library or by calling 701-433-5460

Genealogy: Saturday, May 4, 12 to 4 p.m. Genealogist Jackie Marler will be available to help explore family histories. Take your projects or just ask questions.

Knitty Giddy Group: Tuesday, May 7, 6:30 p.m. Adults are invited to join this fun group of knitters and crocheters. New and experienced crafters are welcome. Attend with your own supplies. Lot of help for beginners getting started.. New knitters should take size 8 or 10 needles and yarn. If you'd like to learn to crochet, take a crochet hook and yarn.

Simply Stories: Tuesday, May 7, 10:15 a.m. Take your little ones to the Library and enjoy two stories.

Session is geared for lap babies and preschoolers. Unlike regular storytimes, this program is just stories - no crafts. If you're looking for stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the Library Tuesdays at 1:30 or Thursdays at 6:30.

Storytime: Welcome to the wonderful world of stories and make-and-take crafts. Story times are geared for preschool through 1st grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but if your group is larger than 5, call ahead so there are enough crafting supplies. (701) 433-5460. Video Gaming: Sunday, May 5, 2 to 4 p.m. Enjoy XBox 360 Kinect, Wii Sports and more. This is free, fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon with family or friends.

Upcoming Events:

Mothers Day Pin: Saturday, May 11, 1 to 2 p.m. Surprise that Special Mom in your life with a pin made by you. Make-and-take project. Open to all ages. It's free, but supplies are limited, so attend early. Stay after for the movie at 2 p.m. No registration required.
