Library News (April 4, 2012)
Special Events: National Library week is April 8-14. In celebration of libraries, we invite you to participate in two events:
Fine Amnesty: In celebration of National Library Week we are giving everyone the opportunity to bring back all lost or overdue library items without penalty. All late fines and fees will be forgiven with the item's return. This offer is only for items turned in April 8-14. It does not clear old fines.
Bunny Hop: Wednesday, April 4, at 11-11:30 a.m. - Join us for a Bunny Hop & Pop. Packing poppers will be on the floor, music will be playing and children are invited to bunny hop & pop to the music. The first 20 receive a free fluffy bunny. Geared for children 8 years and younger, and caretakers must remain with child. Registration appreciated.
Monday Movie - Hop: Monday, April 9, at 2 p.m. - We're showing a new movie release. Enjoy popcorn and get your giggle on as a teen rabbit starts a new adventure in his life. Rated (PG)
Library Coffee or Tea: Wednesday, April 11, at 1-2 p.m. - In celebration of National Library Week, please join us for a beverage and a treat. It's free and no pre-registration is required - just come and enjoy your library.
Tech Night: Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint: Thursday, April 5, at 6:30-7:30 p.m. - If you are looking for an audiovisual aid for a presentation, PowerPoint is for you. Knitty Giddy Group: Tuesday, April 10, at 6:30 p.m. - Adults are invited to join this fun group of knitters and crocheters. Come with your own supplies. New and experienced knitters are welcome. We'll give you lots of help to get started. New knitters should bring size 8 or 10 needles and yarn. Those interested in learning to crochet should bring a crochet hook and yarn.
Simply Stories: Tuesday, April 10, at 10 a.m. - Bring your little ones to the Library and enjoy two stories. Unlike our regular storytimes, this program is just stories - no crafts. If you're looking for stories and crafts, come to the Library Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m., or Thursdays at 6:30 p.m.
