Special Events: West Fargo: Looking Back, Looking Forward: This exhibit features an illustrated timeline of the history of West Fargo and includes a few peeks at what lies ahead. Visit the exhibit (upper level) during library hours.
Regular Events: Tech-Create Holiday Newsletters: Monday, Dec. 2, 6:30 p.m. Back by popular demand and just in time for the holiday season. A hands-on workshop night. Create a personal family newsletter as the goal. Bring your text and photos to the library, and use Microsoft Publisher to create an impressive document that you can save, print or email. Register soon.
Genealogy: Saturday, Nov. 30, 12 to 4 p.m. Are you ready to explore your family’s history? Receive help. Bring your projects or just ask questions.Knitty Giddy Group: Tuesday, Dec. 3, 6:30 p.m. Adults are invited to join this fun group of knitters and crocheters. New and experienced crafters are welcome. Attend with your own supplies. Lots of help to get beginners started. New knitters should take size 8 or 10 needles and yarn. If you’d like to learn to crochet, take a crochet hook and yarn.Friday Morning Movie: Nov. 29, 10:30 a.m. This delightful 60 minute film takes a look at the joy a bear, brother and sister find in the most unusual place. Helping and lending a hand can be a terrific experience. Rated ESimply Stories: Tuesday, Dec. 3, 10:15 a.m. Take your little ones to the library and enjoy two stories. Geared for lap babies and preschoolers. Unlike regular storytimes, this program is just stories – no crafts. If you’re looking for stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library Tuesdays at 1:30 or Thursdays at 6:30.Storytime: Welcome to the wonderful world of stories and make-and-take crafts. Story times are geared for preschool through 1st grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but if your group is larger than 5, call ahead so there are enough crafting supplies. Upcoming Events: Santa Visits Library: Saturday, Dec. 7, 2 to 4 p.m. Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa will be visiting the library and reading a holiday story and making a fun project. All will have an opportunity to visit with the Jolly Old Elf himself and to talk about your year and share your wish list. Don’t forget your camera.
