Diversity is the key at the West Fargo Public Library, with a series of events slated to accommodate at all age levels and interests.


Sessions include:

Cake Decorating, Thursday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m. Marie Zetocha, the cake decorator from Sandy's Donuts, will be on hand to provide tips on how to make flowers and unique decorations for cakes and cookies. Those participating will be decorating sugar cookies with their original designs. All materials will be provided. Pre-registration is required at the Library Service Desk. Class size is limited to 15. No fee.

Family Film, Saturday, May 3, at 2 p.m. The Man in the Yellow Hat travels to Africa where he accidentally adopts an adorable chimpanzee named George. While George is surely cute, his curiosity has a tendency to get him into a series of predicaments in this endearing big-screen adaptation of the beloved books by Margaret E. Rey. Rated G

Babysitting Clinic, Saturday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic is geared for boys and girls, who are at least 12 years old. Introduction to babysitting, responsibilities of babysitters, and a checklist of important information will be covered. The cost is $30. Scholarships are provided through the American Red Cross if needed. The Clinic is sponsored by West Fargo Parks and West Fargo Public Library. Those attending are asked to bring a sack lunch. Intermediate Email, Tuesday, May 6, at 6:30 p.m. Learn even more about how to use your free email account, including security, attachments and more. Must have a free email account with Gmail, Yahoo or Hotmail to take this class. Sign-up at the Service Desk or call 433-5460.

Teen Reading Club, Monday, May 5, at 6:15 p.m. Led by members of NDSU's English Club, the group will complete the "Bookseller of Kabul" at this last session of the year.

Balancing Career and Family, Thursday, May 8, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., presented by Sara Shultis from MeritCare Speakers Bureau. Is it possible to have a balance in your life? How can we deal with stress? Get tips, share thoughts, be part of the solution. No fee. Pre-registration at the Library service desk or by phone 433-5460 requested but not required.

Storytime, Spring into Spring (May Baskets), Thursday, May 1, at 6:30 p.m. Mothers Day, "Mama's Little Bears," Tuesday, May 6, at 1:30 p.m. Mothers Day, "Mama Don't Go!" Thursday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m.
