The West Fargo Public Library continues its intense programming schedule with a varied slate of activities that include:

Balancing Career and Family: Thursday, May 8, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., presented by Sara Shultis from MeritCare Speakers Bureau. Is it possible to have a balance in your life? How can you deal with stress? The session focuses on ideas to get your life together. Listen to tips, share thoughts, and be part of the solution. No fee. Pre-registration requested (but not required) at library service desk or by phone 433-5460.

Movie: Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m. There's action, mystery and comedy afoot when super sleuth Basil of Baker Street returns to match wits with his old nemesis, Professor Ratigan in this re-release of the Disney studios 26th full-length animated feature, the Great Mouse Detective. This delightful, animated comedy-caper follows the hero as he pursues his evil rat rival from the depths of London's sewers to the dizzying heights of Big Ben's clocktower. Rated G.

Knitty Giddy Group: Tuesday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. All Knitters are welcome to join the knitting group. If you are an experienced knitter bring along your projects and if you are a new knitter bring your SZ 8 to SZ 10 needles and a skein of yarn and there will be help to get you started. No fee, lots of help.

Fun with Food: Wednesday, May 14, at 10:30 a.m. You and your preschool children are invited to join in for Fun with Food. What's it all about? There'll be story time about food, a fun take-home project, and a healthy snack. This week's topic is "Healthy Snacks" presented at no charge by the NDSU County Extension Service/Cass County FNP-Family Nutrition Program. Any requests for accommodations related to disability should be made to Cass County Extension at 241-5700, one week before the class.

Movie: Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m. When young Roy moves from Montana to Florida with his family, he ends up befriending two kids who are fighting to protect the home of a group of endangered burrow owls from a real estate developer. "Hoot" is based on the popular children's book with new music from producer Jimmy Buffett. Rated PG.

Storytime: Thursday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. - Mothers Day, "Mama Don't Go!"; Tuesday, May 13, at 1:30 p.m. - Puppies; Thursday, May 15, at 6:30 p.m. - Emily's Balloon.
