Margaret Carr, 94, Fargo, ND died Tues., Jan. 28, 2014 at ManorCare Health, Fargo.
Jannetta Margaret Carr was born June 17, 1919 at Fingal, ND to Richard and Jannetta (Hatch) Brown. She grew up at Fingal and graduated from high school there. Margaret married Loren Carr on Feb. 22, 1942 in Valley, City, ND. They followed Lorens military service and lived in Ft. Collins, CO and South Carolina. She lived in Driscoll, ND while he was stationed overseas. Upon his return, they lived in Rochester, MN before moving to Fargo in 1947. Margaret worked at Hornbachers as a meat wrapper for over 20 years. They later moved to West Fargo. Loren died in 1972. She resided at the West Fargo High Rise for 10 years and entered ManorCare in 2012.
For many years, she was an active member at Faith Lutheran Church. Loren and Margaret had a great passion for square dancing and taught their children at young ages. She also enjoyed bowling.
Margaret is survived by a daughter, Pat (Ned) Yahnke, Fargo; son, Mike (LeAnn) Carr, Oakdale, CT; five grandchildren, Ryan (Teresa) Carr, Aaron (Sara) Carr, Whitney Carr, Nathan (Kim) Yahnke, and Mali Yahnke; nine great grandchildren, Micah, Noah, Quentin, Gabriel, Viktoria, Haleigh, Caleb, Gwendolyn and Scout; and a sister, Lois Remmen, Detroit Lakes, MN.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Loren and sister, Rebecca.
Funeral: Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 1 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo, ND with one hour prior visitation.
Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
